Anjaneya Hill

The Anjaneya hill is quite the climb with 570 steps but you get rewarded with most gorgeous panoramic views of Hampi from here. It is said to be the birthplace of Hanuman. I went here early in the morning, caught the most magical sunrise from here.

Virupaksha Temple

Virupaksha temple is one of the oldest temple’s in India. This beautiful temple was built in the 7th Century. Although surrounded by ruins, this temple still stands strong in all its glory.

Virupapur Gadde or Hippie Island

This is a small island situated right across the Tungabhadra river. Apart from some stunning scenic beauty, boulders and paddy fields, you can also find super cute cafes and restaurants here.

Croacle Ride

This one’s a lot of fun! Hampi is one of the only places where you can have this incredible experience. You can find this at the Tungabhadra River boating area. Make sure you fix a price beforehand to avoid getting scammed.
